UpTrust finds communities from how people vote. Nobody sets them up or joins them by hand. Your field shows how much each of those communities shapes what you see. That includes communities you are not part of, because their weight can reach you through people you trust.
Only you can see your field.
Where to find it: Click More in the left sidebar, then Your field.
How to read it
Each community gets a row with a bar and a percent. A bigger bar means that community shapes more of your feed. Click a community's name to open its page.
- A solid bar is a community you belong to. The row says You belong here.
- A dashed bar is a community you are not in. It reaches you only through the people you trust, and the row says how many of them.
- A red bar means that community pushes against what you see. The row says pushes against your feed.
- Outside any community is the trust you place in people who belong to no named community.
Near the top, one line may say how much of your feed comes from communities you are not part of. At the bottom, Where you sit lists every community you belong to and how much, as a percent. You can belong to several at once.
If the page is flat
You may see The field is flat. That means no community is big enough yet to name, so your feed is shaped by the people you trust one by one. If you have not voted or vouched much yet, the page says so. It fills in as you vote and vouch.
