Reply to a conversation

Join in by commenting, and how threads work.

A comment is your reply to a post or to someone else's comment. Commenting is how you join the conversation and add what you know, so good back-and-forth can build.

Where to find it: Open any post. The comment box and the existing replies sit below the post.

  1. Open the post you want to reply to.
  2. Click into the comment box below the post.
  3. Type what you want to say. You can add a picture too.
  4. Click Post to publish your comment.

How threads work

To answer one comment instead of the whole post, click Reply on that comment. Your reply nests under it, so anyone reading can follow who is answering whom. You can keep replying to go deeper into a thread.

Comments can be voted on, just like posts. When you UpTrust or DownTrust a comment, you help the most trusted replies rise for the people who trust you.

Mention someone

Type @ and a person's name in your comment to tag them. They get a notification. See Mention someone.
