Staking lets you put extra conviction behind a vote when you really mean it. A regular tap says you agree. Staking says I'd put my reputation on this.
Where to find it: If staking is turned on for your account, open the More menu (the ... menu) on a post and choose Stake your vote. Comments have no entry on either the web or the app. Most people will not see this entry yet; the wager engine is still rolling out.
How to stake
- Open the ... menu on the post and pick Stake your vote.
- Choose Upvote or Downvote.
- Pick a tier. Vote is the free, standard vote. Higher tiers like Endorse, Boost, Bet hard, and All in carry more weight, and steeper consequences if your network disagrees. Some tiers stay locked until you've earned enough trust.
- Press Stake to confirm (or Vote if you stayed on the free tier).
What happens next
Your vote lands either way, and it counts in your network the same way a regular UpTrust or DownTrust always has. Per-vote stakes are not live yet, so the tier you pick is not spent and every vote resolves at the same weight for now. The tiers do show what you have earned so far, so you can see where you stand before the engine starts resolving bets.
Trust bet when you reshare
Resharing a post uses the same five tiers under a different name. In the post menu, Trust bet opens a share dialog where you can add an optional take and pick your bet. That path is for sharing something to your network with your trust behind it; it is a different control from Stake your vote on an existing post. See Trust bet a post for the full walkthrough.
