Group settings is where an admin shapes the group: its name, its look, who can invite people, and which tools are on. It keeps the group running the way its members want, without guesswork.
Where to find it: Open your group and click Group settings at the bottom of the left rail, or the gear icon near the group name.
What an admin can change
- Name and description. Rename the group or update what it is about.
- Public or private. Tick Make Group Publicly Visible to let anyone find and join, or untick it to keep the group invite-only.
- Who can invite. Choose whether only admins, all members, or only trusted members can invite new people.
- Hide tools you do not use. The Money checkbox turns the Money tool on or off. Turning it off hides the tab for everyone and deletes nothing.
Members and the danger zone
You can manage who is in the group from the Members tool. Settings also has a Danger Zone where you can leave the group, or, as an admin, delete it for good. Deleting asks you to type the group name first, since it cannot be undone.
Members can leave too
You do not have to be an admin to leave. Any member can open Group settings and click Leave.
