What is UpTrust?

What UpTrust is, and why your feed here feels different.

UpTrust is a place for real conversations. You post, reply, and vote, like on other social sites. But your feed is built around who you trust, so a thousand strangers can never decide what you see.

Maya's question gets lost in a loud feed, then travels friend to friend until it reaches Theo, who can answer it.

The big idea

Your feed follows the people you trust, and the posts that both sides of a disagreement trust rise.

On most sites, a post rises when lots of strangers click on it. On UpTrust, a post rises for you when people you trust think it's good. Every vote you cast teaches UpTrust a little more about who you find trustworthy, and your feed gets better at showing you things that deserve your time.

This is why spam, bots, and pile-ons don't work well here. A wave of fake accounts can't push something into your feed, because you don't trust any of them.
