Add topics to a post

Add the right topics to posts and comments so people find them.

Topics help the right people find a post. They also tell UpTrust which topic a trust vote belongs to.

Where to find it: Open any post card in your feed, or open a comment's ... menu.

Add a topic to a post

On a post, use + add tag next to the topic pills. Type a topic name, or choose one from the suggestions. Press Enter to add it.

The post shows up to three topics. When UpTrust has a score for a topic, the pill also shows that score out of 10.

Add a topic to a comment

On a regular comment, open the ... menu and choose Add tag. The dialog is called Add a tag. Type a topic, pick a suggestion if one fits, then click Add tag.

Use # while writing

In the post editor, type # and at least two letters. UpTrust shows matching topics. Pick one to insert a link to that topic page.

Adding a topic is neutral

Adding a topic is not the same as trusting or distrusting someone on that topic. To change trust, use the regular topic vote controls.

To browse topic pages, see Topics.
