Some events end right when the conversation gets good. A retreat, a dinner, a workshop: people meet, they click, and then everyone scatters. Turning your event into a group gives everyone who came one shared place to keep talking.
Where to find it: Open your event page after the event ends. As the host you will see a Keep this going card with a Create group button. The summary email you get after the event has the same link.
What one click does
- A new private group is created, named after your event. You can rename it first.
- Everyone who RSVP'd Going gets an invitation to join. Nobody is added without saying yes.
- Guests who came through a share link and have no account yet get an email invitation.
- Your co-hosts become group admins along with you.
- The event is linked to the group, so the group keeps it in its history.
After the group exists
The group starts private, so only invited people can join. You can open it up later in group settings, add channels for different topics, and plan your next gathering right from the group with a new event.
When to use it
This works best when people actually met and want to stay in touch. If your event already belongs to a group, there is no need to convert it; the people are already together.
