Your assistant creates the event under your account from the details you give: title, time, place or online link, and if you want them a description, capacity, trust threshold, topics, and a header image from a link. When your request already says the title, time and place, it goes ahead; otherwise it asks only for what is missing. The response includes the event’s link.
Ask it like this
- “Set up a coffee meetup next Friday at 9am at the corner cafe.”
- “Create an online book club for the first Tuesday of next month.”
When another tool fits better
- Can you change my event?
The event already exists. - Who should I invite?
You want ideas for who to invite.
Before you use it
- It needs the Create events and send invitations for you permission, which UpTrust asks you to approve when you connect.
- It writes to UpTrust, and what it writes can be changed or removed afterwards. Its effects reach people or services beyond your own account.
- In Claude, connect

What your assistant is told
Your assistant decides when to use this tool from the title and description UpTrust’s server gives it. Here they are exactly as the server sends them.
- Tool name
create_event- Title
- Create an UpTrust event
- Description
Use this when the user asks to create, host or schedule an UpTrust event; it creates the event under their account. To change an event that already exists, use update_event; to find one, use list_my_events. This is the commit point, not a drafting tool: call it only with details the user stated or confirmed — the title, the exact start time and timezone, public or private, and a location or online URL. A request that already states them is that confirmation, so call without asking again. Ask only about what is missing or unclear, and leave out optional fields they did not mention (description, end time, capacity, trust threshold, topics, header image) rather than asking about each one. A header image is attached by passing `headerImageUrl`, a public https URL the server fetches and re-hosts on the UpTrust CDN — pass a link, never image data. The response echoes the resolved stored fields plus the canonical event URL and the `eventId` the other event tools take.
