I mentioned this to a couple of you recently. I incorrectly believed that the source code release was recent. It actually happened 11 years ago!
Reading through the code, I was surprised by how modern
Pascal seemed. I would have expected a 50 year old language to be much worse. And perhaps most of the languages at the time were worse, and Pascal was a few steps ahead. The code I read really seems no worse than Golang.
